Our Award Winning Head Chef– Dean Douglass.
Dean has been a chef for 15 years and has worked in fine dining restaurants in the North East of England.
Dean has a passion for locally sourced produce and specialises in fish and game dishes. His food is Modern British Cuisine with a "twist".
Although Dean has left his beloved Tyne Bridge behind him, he is delighted to have relocated to The Lake District to join the Geordie team at the Lyth Valley.
“Local Hero” by Dire Straits can often be heard playing from the kitchen after service.
Dean is assisted by his Sous Chef Rob Jones. Originally from Wigan, Rob has been in the industry for 20 years working in venues such as Storrs Hall & The Rybeck. His passion is in pastry.
Dine against oak panelled luxury and jaw-dropping Lyth Valley views any time of the day. Whether it’s our hand made rustic stone-baked pizza from the terrace menu, or locally sourced Venison, you’ll always find something to satisfy your appetite.
